Chionodoxa forbesii: glory of the snow

Plant: Early spring bulb. Ideal for naturalizing under trees and shrubs, in meadows, and rocky woodlands.

Origin: western Turkey

Zone: 4 - 9

Flowers: small, up-facing, starry, blue or pink flowers on a short raceme. Blooms for two weeks. 4-8”. Noticeable white eye.

Foliage: usually two bright green basal leaves.

Culture
: full sun to part shade. Grows well in most soils. Rarely bothered by pests or diseases.
