Plant: perennial bulb to 72 ". Basal rooting only.

Origin: Eastern Asian valleys and woodlands

: 4 - 9

Flowers
: extremely fragrant, bowl or star-shaped flowers in mid to late summer. Largest of lily flowers, some open completely flat.

Foliage: alternate leaves along stem.

Culture
: sun to partial shade. Acidic soil. Prone to disease. 'Star Gazer' and 'Casa Blanca' helped increase popularity of lilies in 20th century. Many new cultivars, like 'Dizzy' and 'Mona Lisa'
