This was a stunning arrangement. During the growing season we keep several of cutflowers throughout the house at all times, but none were as vibrant as this. The combination technically does not quailfy as an arrangement because the camass and phlox are simply sitting in the blood lily's pot. But I'm willing to break the rules for beauty.

Other standouts include: my bday arrangement which always has African Queen lilies, a lily & butterflyweed combo, golden fairy lilies with Spanish hyacinths, and Altai lilies with Red Lion amaryllis.

twelvth anniversarry cutflowers

Left: 2nd Place winner - 12th anniversary cutflowers. We were married on the autumnal equinox and always have big arrangements with great flowers.

This we Indian grass, sunchokes, giant sunflower, and white asters lit up the room. It requires a huge vase and nearly daily watering, but it is worth it.

Sunchokes are the butteriest, golden yellow invented by nature. To use them as a cutflower you must get them in water within 20 minutes of cutting or they will wilt severely.
